Inspiration Corner: Brouwer Edition (Pt. 2)
I was on YouTube last night, and I happened to stumble across videos of Dale Kavanagh performing the first 10 Brouwer Studies. These are some of the first “real” classical guitar repertoire that most students encounter, and it is nice to see a player of this caliber performing them on a recital. I think it says something about the validity of these compositions, also it should send a message to students who thing they are just “etudes” that these piece can be very effective in a concert setting!
