Classical guitarist Emilio Garcia will appear as the featured guest artist in the Nick Cutroneo Guitar Studio 2026 Concert Series for an intimate, up-close recital in Glastonbury.
Garcia’s program spotlights vibrant, under-heard guitar repertoire, featuring works by Manuel Ponce, Octaviano Yáñez, Gerardo Tamez, Ernesto García de León, and Ernesto Luna Gómez, alongside contemporary selections and Garcia’s own personal arrangements. Audiences can expect a performance that is lyrical, rhythmically alive, and rich in color music that makes a single guitar feel surprisingly expansive.
Currently completing doctoral work at The Hartt School, Garcia’s research centers on guitar repertoire, bringing a blend of scholarship and stage-ready artistry to every piece. He has also appeared as a guest guitarist with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 2, 2026. The concert will be presented at Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury, CT.
